I was ahead of my time back in 1985 when I began video taping Sesame Street skits. Back then, I was 17 and wanted to capture memories I had 12 years earlier when I was 5 and watched SS when I got home from kindergarten. I did this for 3 years. I didn't know at the time that S.S. would quit airing all these classics about two years after I quit recording. If I had known, I would have collected a lot more than I did. Now, a new generation of kids can watch the old Sesame Street.

Imagine the sleaze bags that would swear or post porn sites on SESAME STREET videos, where MANY kids watch!

Sesame Street - That's about the size
This great, nostalgic catchy cartoon/song is very popular. It teaches kids that big and small are actually relative terms. Luckily, I recorded it over 21 years ago and found it in my Sesame Street archives. A re-post because the volume has been increased. Special thanks to Sesame Street Workshop for allowing me to post this here. All copyrights and profits for ALL Sesame Street segments belong to them!

Sesame Street - The 'O' Song
Переглядів 335 тис.15 років тому
This and the "E E...see me" are a couple of the earliest S.S. cartoons I can remember. I even learned all the words to this song back in 1986 (lol). I am re-posting this video because I have increased the volume. As many of you have found out, the volume on most of my classic Sesame Street posts are poor. In poor, I mean LOW! I bought a mixer to increase the volume. I will be re-posting many sk...

I'm posting this classic S.S. cartoon because it was highly requested. In fact, a couple people begged me to post it. This, along with the "O" cartoon, is very nostalgic to me. Eerie Indian music accompanies the cartoon.
Sesame Street - I don't want to live on the moon

Here is a great song from the 80's. A beautiful song by Ernie with great lyrics and a great tune. Ernie describes how the moon is a great place to visit but he doesn't want to live there. Sesame Street - SMV: Count It Higher (ending)

Here is the end of the video. I posted this one because of the original ending Sesame Street music. This is the good old fashioned Sesame Street music I remember and grew up with. It's a shame it had to change just for change sake!

Out of all these S.S. music videos, this is the only one I remember seeing as a little kid. In other words, this one is the oldest (from the mid 70's). Also one of the best songs in the collection in my opinion. Special thanks to Sesame Street Workshop for allowing me to post this here. This one is a popular one. All the muppets sing and dance in the bathtub while Ernie is in there singing right along. Kind of strange! Sesame Street - Letter B

This one is obviously a spoof of the song "Let It Be" by the Beatles. The group is even called "The Beetles" but of course, named after the insect.
Sesame Street - ZZ Blues

A group that looks much like ZZ Top sings about the letter Z in ZZ Blues! A bluesy kind of song and another great lesson for kids. Big Bird makes an appearance before the video begins here.
Sesame Street - Honk around the clock
Переглядів 1,6 млн16 років тому
The famous honker muppets of the 80's star in this 1950's style song "Honk around the clock". The music and lyrics are very 50's sounding and the song title itself is an obvious parody of the 1950's song "Rock around the clock". That famous song was used in the first season of the 1970's TV show "Happy Days", a show about the 50's.

Kermit the Frog stars in this next video. I guess this is mocking hip hop music. Who better than a frog for a hopping video!

Sesame Street - Sesame Music Video: Count It Higher
Переглядів 475 тис.16 років тому
Here is the beginning of Sesame Music Videos: Count It Higher. During the 1980's, Sesame Street began to mock the famous music videos that became extremely popular in the early 80's with the birth of MTV and VH1. The muppet music videos even copied the credits which appeared at the beginning or end. The name of the song, the album, the group and even the record company are all included. The cou...

The guy doing the voice sounds like baby bear on looney tunes cartoons bear feat and a bear for punishment.

Joe Raposo's groovy sound was groovy back during Sesame Street's hip, happening and swingin' heyday!

PIZZAAAA!!! 🍕 😂😂😂
Two comments: 1: that is my Dad, Robert Dennis, who wrote the music and is playing the piano. 2. Isn't it amazing that back then, if you wanted an empty street to film on, you'd go down to the financial district on a Sunday?
Scooby Doo
What is the name of the song
That's Kool-Aid Mix
"RIBBIT"
It’s a depressing video but would love too play it on a guitar that would be awesome
DANGER!
I kind of felt sad that the airplane crashed probably because it didn’t complete the journey
The number 8 and 3 are my favorite ones.
Some of these classic Sesame Street short films are timeless!
Narrator: Mr. Tweek tried to sleep but the man above would snore. Mr. Tweek tapped on the ceiling. Mr. Tweek: Hey you above, don't snore I can't take it anymore. Above Man (tapping on the floor): Don't blame me. I wasn't aware I was snoring when I was sleeping since snoring happens without knowing. Narrator: Mr. Tweek tried to sleep and the man below him would sneeze. So Mr. Tweek tapped on the floor. Mr. Tweek: Hey you below if you please don't sneeze. Below Man (tapping on the ceiling): I can't help it if I have to sneeze since sneezing happens on it's own. Besides what if I said I had a cold or an allergy and was sneezing because of that? Mr. Tweek: That does it. First thing in the morning when the sun comes up, I'm calling a realtor to move out since this whole apartment building is not soundproof since it's not easy living in the middle.

4 weeks ago, my brother and I had lost our beloved father. He was 83 years old when he passed away. 🌹
I am very sorry for your loss
Holy Mackerel. WGBH produced a lot of programs including in Boston and in New England. : )
The sitarist's name is Peter Van Gelder.
I loved this as a kid, and I haven't seen or heard it since then. I remembered the melody, but I'd forgotten how beautiful the Indian instruments sounded. I could still recite along with it, though, word for word. I watched Sesame Street a lot...
What a vivid childhood memory! Anyone know who the actor is in this?
In all my life, I never knew that there was an alternative ending, to this rolling ball segment of “Sesame Street”. The one I’ve always been used to (and I pretty much preferred that one), was Jim Henson’s daughter, Heather, eating one of the cherries on those three Ice Creams, that were on the conveyor belt.
Remember seeing this as a child growing up and always cry when I h hear this music. 🎶
How that chef manages to fall down and manages to survive is beyond me. He has practically move lives than a cat

Why does he have a kubrickian stare?
Is that Bach, Handel, or Vivaldi playing in the background?
<----bus driver, so I had to STOP here LOL
I remember that segment on a Philippines copy of learning about letters dvd.
Funny seeing fall in this one, he was crying at the end😂
Core memory. I remember this so well, being so young. Sesame Street was amazing to me, to be able to see education-focused animation techniques, classical music, life in the city, diversity and inclusion of people, and muppets in the same episode.
8 planets ''12345678''
Is that Dan Hicks?
Wonder if Frank got to give the baby a real "cookie kiss" because he probably wanted to behind the scenes.😊😊
